3D-Secure is a security protocol for online payments, developed by Visa and MasterCard to enable the identification of card holders making a purchase.
The identification takes place after the consumer has filled in his or her card details and is then required to fill in a code that only the card holder is aware of. 3D-Secure is included as standard for all card payments with Auriga ePayment.

This means that Auriga fulfill the stringent security requirements for handling card payments, which were decided upon in a joint decision from the international credit card brands: Visa, MasterCard.
